Lo Boheme – Vintage Inspired Accessories

I came across Lo Boheme’s store while shopping on ETSY. Here is a bit about them. Be sure to check out their store.Lo Boheme specializes in one of a kind and custom accessories for weddings, special events, or everyday wear.

Lo Boheme is the wife-husband team of Lauren (Lo) and Josh Christensen based out of a tiny 1920’s bungalow in San Diego, CA. The duo are excited and honored to offer custom and ready to wear pieces to an international clientele via their online shop, www.loboheme.etsy.com

The Lo Boheme aesthetic is inspired by the details of eras past; whether it be French Bohemianism of the late 1800’s, the detailed lines of the Art Nouveau movement, or the glamor of Old Hollywood. It is the delicate feminine sophistication from these times, coupled with Lo’s modern eye that produce unique yet wearable statement head pieces. Lo longs for the day when the headdress was a wardrobe staple, and it is her goal with her designs to bring this dream a little closer!

Lo Boheme sprung from our own wedding just over two years ago. In search of a unique personal gift for her nine bridesmaids, Lauren created one of a kind hairpieces made from vintage velvet flowers found in boarded up millinery warehouses in France and Germany. These types of creative personal touches flourished throughout Lo and Josh’s wedding. After rave reviews from guests and vendors, “Lo Boheme” the company was born, although Lo, the little lady with a unique vision and Bohemian spirit had been designing and creating for years!

So many people, so much love, endless inspiration!

Erin & Tyler – A Vintage Wedding

Erin and Tyler exchanged vows on Septemeber 6 of this year & incorporated lots of vintage details into thier wedding from a vintage inspire gown to grandmother’s pearls and not to mention the grooms ride; which he has had since he was 19. Very unique rings – Mokume-gane style bands, a photo table of vintage family wedding portraits.  Both are geologists, so there was a bit of a rock theme too. Thanks to ENV Photography for submitting this gorgeous wedding to us.  Enjoy & be inspired!

Traditional Bouquets

Here are some great real flower bouquets I have come across recently. Making your own bouquet is relatively easy, but time consuming.
Here are my tips:

* Pre-order your flowers well in-advance
* Make sure your flowers of choice are in season
*Boquets made with real flowers should be put together within 24 hrs of the ceremony
* Silk Bouquets can be made weeks prior, and you can keep them as a keepsake
*Store real flower bouquets in a fridge till you leave for the ceremony.

*You can find great bouquet making tutorial videos on YouTube.

* Add cool extras like feathers, beads, or even little birdies to get that personalized touch.
